Yokota is a Japanese bicycle manufacturer that started marketing bikes in the US during the mid-1980s. The brand built a reputation for producing affordable and classic bikes. However, the lack of extensive distribution of its products makes it fairly uncommon to see around. Yokota produced a total of 35 models by 1994. The brand specialized in mountain and road bikes that are light, fun, and fast. Yokota bikes were also considered very comfortable for long commutes. However, the 1990s saw a thin market for road bicycles, leading to Yokota's downfall, like many other brands of that era.
